Women Deacons in the Early Church

Advocating the presence of female deacons, this book asks "would the ordination of women deacons represent a break with tradition?". It also demonstrates that tens of thousands of women deacons served in early Catholic communities; and argues that there is no reason not to ordain women deacons in contemporary times.
