Slavery of the British West India Colonies Delineated

Volume 2 of James Stephen's Slavery, published in 1830, exposed the cruelty and inhumanity of the practice of slavery in the British West Indies. It contributed to the public outcry that led to the final abolition of slavery in British territories. It is a key text of the abolitionist movement.
