History of the Worthies of England 2 Volume Set

The first part of this work, first published in 1662 and reissued here in a two-volume 1811 edition, consists of twenty-five short explanatory chapters, after which England and Wales are examined county by county: first, natural resources and manufactures, and then notable people, starting with princes and saints.
