From Edinburgh to the Antarctic
In 1892 Scottish artist W. G. Burn Murdoch (1862-1939) joined an expedition that left from Dundee to hunt whales in Antarctica. This is his account of the journey, complete with sketches. First published in 1894, the work also contains a chapter by expedition naturalist William S. Bruce (1867-1921).
