Discourse-Pragmatic Variation and Change in English

This volume brings together leading scholars in sociolinguistics and corpus linguistics to introduce new methods for analysing discourse-pragmatic features such as 'like', 'innit', 'you get me', and 'at the end of the day'. It also provides new empirical and theoretical insights to broaden understanding of how these forms vary and change.
